Route no 76 from MMDA bus stand from chennai takes you to Kanchi bus stand ( Theradi) From there catch an auto or town bus to Vishnu kanch which is the sthalam or mandir. Persons from south can alight at Chengal pattu and catch a bus to kanchi and get down at Vishnu Kanchi. It stops at vishnu kanchi.
Lord Brahma felt so depressed that doesnt have time nor the patience to perform 100 Ashwametha yagam to see Vishnu for four hands. Finally as per Sriman Narayanan, he performed one Ashwametha yagam which is equivalent to 100 Ashwametha yagam. It is said that doing one Ashwametha yagam in Kanchipuram is equivalent to 100 times of doing Ashwametha yagam somewhere else.
